"Peace I give to you, my own peace I give you,

a peace the world cannot give. This is my gift to you.

Don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid."

--John 14: 27

Jesus has already given us what we need to surrender

ourselves to God, but perhaps the peace he offers eludes us

because we are too busy and too preoccupied with other things.

Yet, think about the tenderness of his words and his generosity.

He doesn’t want us to be troubled or afraid.

He wants us to experience peace at a deeply personal level.
